Save Our Trees – Beetle Drive

Join us at 6:30pm on Friday 1st March at St Andrews Church Hall for our next fundraising event, The Save Our Trees Beetle Drive, at which many rounds of the game will be played and there will be all sorts of prizes awarded. We will have a musical performance at the end and for supper we will serve our famous Jacket Potatoes with chilli, beans and salad!

Now its fun time – The players are in groups of four with a communal die, and the first player to complete their beetle shouts out “Beetle!” stopping the play of all the groups. Then the winner of each particular group (the player with the most complete beetle in that group) will move around a circle of tables to the right (clockwise), and the loser (the player with the least complete beetle) to the left (anti-clockwise). The ultimate winner is usually either the one who has drawn the most complete beetles.

PREVIEW – Watch the video to find out how to play Beetle, and to hear Malcolm sing one of everyone’s favourite songs!

Music – We are bringing you a rather special guest who will certainly woo you! Co-op Wincanton Wellingborough and Co-op Member Pioneer Wellingborough, Rushden and Higham Ferrers present Malcolm for some classic pop, soothing soul and some old favourites. There will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

Food – Jacket potatoes will be available with a choice of meat chili, vegan chili, beans, cheese and/or homemade coleslaw, plus a help yourself buffet on the night. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, and cakes will be on sale. We will also have a raffle!
